    Description

    AML 2012 F HONORS SURVEY OF AMERICAN LITERATURE I (3) 3 hours per week. Gordon Rule. Prerequisite: ENC 1101 or equivalent and admission to the Community of Scholars program or permission of instructor May be taken credit without AML 2022. Co-requisite: ENC 1102 This course is designed for students capable of intensive study and discussion of a variety of representative selections from American Literature, including poetry, fiction, non-fictional prose and drama by major authors such as Edger Allen Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Herman Melville, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Walt Whitman, Mark Twain, Henry James, Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner and Wallace Stevens. Selective admission.
