Description

This course develops understanding of the historical traditions of world literature from the ancient world through the Renaissance. Emphasis is on development of Western literacy attitudes through works, usually in translation, from the Old Testament and through such authors as Homer, Aeschylus, Euripides, Aristophanes, Virgil, Dante, Boccaccio, Chaucer, Rabelais, Cervantes, Donne and Milton.
