HIM MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES (3)
Prerequisites: HIM 1800, HIM 2201
Co-requisite: MAN 2021
This course is designed to introduce the student to supervision and management of the resources found in HIM settings, including staff, budget and equipment. Additionally, quality management, utilization review and risk management will be studied in depth. The basic management functions of planning, organizing, leading and controlling will be discusses as applied to HIM (AHIMA Competencies: V.1, V.2, V.3, V.4, V.5, V.6, V.8, V.9, V.10, V.11, V.12, V.13).
