Change my password

Current students, your portal password is connected to your Patriots Mail password. Please log into Patriots Mail to change your password. If you forgot your password, contact ITHelp@cf.edu.

New students can follow this guide to set your password.

Use the Microsoft Authenticator app to receive notifications on your smartphone or tablet to verify your identity when prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication.

 

Step 1. Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Visit the Apple app store or Google play store on your device and install the Microsoft Authenticator app. Alternatively, visit aka.ms/authapp and download the Microsoft Authenticator app.

 

Step 2. Add your account to the app.

  1. On your desktop, visit https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo.
  2. Select Add Method > Authenticator app. 
  3. Follow the wizard experience to setup the app.

Scan the QR Code in the app and test the push notification flow as part of this process. For more information, see this guidance.

 

Step 3. Change default sign-in settings to the Authenticator app.

To ensure that you are prompted to sign-in using push notifications:

  1. Visit https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo.
  2. Select Default sign-in method > Change> Authenticator – notification option.

 

Congratulations! You are now setup with the Microsoft Authenticator app and can receive push notifications for multifactor authentication verification.

Patriot Pantry

The Patriot Pantry offers free food to CF students who need extra support. This confidential service ensures you have what you need to help you stay focused on your education. To use the pantry, visit the Stearns Learning Resource Center in Building 3 on the Ocala Campus. The pantry is open whenever Building 3 is open. Ask a staff member at the front desk to unlock the pantry, take a bag located in the pantry and fill it with the items you need.

Clothes Closet

The CF Clothes Closet provides professional and casual clothing, shoes, children toys and personal care items at no cost to students. You can visit the Clothes Closet in Building 2 on the Ocala Campus. To use the Clothes Closet, please make an appointment with Danielle Bryan, bryand@cf.edu.

Emergency Funds

If unexpected expenses come up, CF may be able to help with emergency financial assistance. It is not guaranteed that there are funds available, but please fill out the Patriot Fund form.

Off-Campus Counseling

Baycare Health is a confidential, free of charge, resource for assisting students who may have personal problems which could affect their school, work, home lives. It provides early intervention and professional assessment and counseling to best meet the needs of the student. A student may call the toll free number, 1-800-878-5470 (twenty four hours per day, seven days per week) for assistance or visit the Baycare website.

On-Campus Counseling

Counseling services to students are available free of charge by State of Florida licensed clinicians either on campus or off campus. Email counseling@cf.edu or call 352-854-2322, Ext. 1580, or 352-854-2322, Ext. 1286 for more information.

Online Learning Help

Take classes at home, the library or your favorite restaurant — wherever you are, you can take advantage of CF’s online courses and degrees. If you run into issues during your distance learning, please contact DLHelp@cf.edu or call the E-learning Help Desk at 352-854-2322, ext. 1317.

Free Tutoring

The Learning Support Centers offer you a place on each campus and online where you can strengthen your academic skills, learn studying and test-taking skills and receive personalized tutoring, all designed to increase your opportunities for success. Whether it’s math, writing, anatomy or more, our tutoring centers offer flexible schedules to meet your needs. Email tutoring@cf.edu or visit the tutoring page on the CF website for more information. 

CF students can also receive free tutoring online through Brainfuse, a live tutoring platform that is available 24 hours, 7 days per week. You can access Brainfuse through Canvas.

S.M.A.R.T. Areas

Study, Mingle, Achieve, Recharge, Think! These S.M.A.R.T. areas are located around campus, providing open areas for students to relax or study. In each area, there are whiteboards for creative expression, comfortable chairs, collaborative technology, and multiple charging ports.

The S.M.A.R.T. areas are open throughout the day for student use. Stop on by and check them out!

Mindfulness Room

Located at the Levy Campus and the Ocala Campus within the Clifford B. Stearns Learning Resources Center, CF’s yoga studios provide calming environments for individual yoga or group activities.

Students can stop by the yoga studio between classes, and instructor-led yoga sessions are scheduled throughout the semester.

TRIO is a set of federal programs designed to help low-income Americans gain access to higher education, be successful during college and continue that success after graduation.
