Beware of Job Scam Emails

Scammers are sending job scam emails to CF students from compromised accounts. These emails are designed to trick students into providing personal information and potentially engage in sending funds to them.

Red flags to look out for:

• They are asking for personal information
• They are asking you to shop for them
• You have to send money to them or someone on their behalf
• The job sounds too good to be true
• They won’t meet you in person

There are many sites on the internet that will educate you about email scams, most notably the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency.

CF uses the Rave Alert system for emergency notifications to students, faculty and staff. A Rave account has automatically been set up for you if you have provided an e-mail address to CF.

Within your Rave account, you may choose to receive CF emergency communications via text messages, e-mail or recorded voice messages. You may also use the link to opt out of the communications, if you prefer.
