INTRODUCTION TO AFRICAN AMERICAN LITERATURE (3)
3 hours per week. Gordon Rule.
Prerequisite: ENC1101
This course is a survey course that covers the major periods of African-American literature from its beginnings in America to the present. Attention will be given to the African background. Concentration centers on the writers' views of themselves and the political, economic and social forces that influence them.
