HIM 1430 CONCEPTS OF DISEASE (3) 3 hours per week Prerequisite: HSC 2531 This course gives an overview of common diseases and illnesses. It focuses on the anatomy and physiology, common signs and symptoms, diagnostic tests, treatment and pharmacology associated with each condition. Information gained in this course will enable students to abstract, analyze and code information from the medical record.
