Nursing II builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in Nursing I. In this course, the student learns about holistic health care across the life span and begins to use the nursing process with diverse clients needing primary prevention and those whose normal lines of defense have been invaded to the extent secondary and tertiary preventions are necessary. Faculty designs learning experiences to assist students to identify stressors of surgery, pain and cellular deviation and commonly occurring responses to stressors that affect clients' abilities to meet needs for oxygen, perception/mobility, physiological and psychological safety, self-esteem, and/or love and belonging.
