Description

CHM 2210C F ORGANIC CHEMISTRY I WITH LAB (4) 3-hour lecture, 3 hour laboratory, and 1-hour problem-solving session per week Prerequisite: CHM 1025C with a grade "B" or better, or CHM 2045C or CHM 2046C with a grade of "C" or better The first term of a two-term sequence in college organic chemistry, covering basic principles of structure, classification, nomenclature, synthesis, chemical behavior, and reaction mechanisms of the compounds of carbon. A thorough study of topics that cuts across disciplines such as medicine, veterinary science, chemical engineering, biology, and pharmacy. May require the two-semester sequence to guarantee transfer.
